Augusto Lopez and [PARTNER NAME], husband-and-wife boudoir photography team, Bay Area

We built this studio
because the room matters.

We're Augusto and [PARTNER NAME] — a married team of photographers working out of a private studio in Emeryville. Augusto has been shooting professionally for sixteen years across film, portraiture, and documentary. [PARTNER NAME] is a visual artist and esthetician who runs the studio alongside him. Together, we handle every boudoir session from first message to final gallery.

Boudoir asks a lot of a person. Getting undressed in front of a stranger is not something most people are rehearsed in, and most studios don't make it any easier. We built this one differently. A locked door. A dressing area that isn't a bathroom. Climate control. Music you choose. And two of us in the room, every session — so the dynamic never leans the wrong way.

Our approach is slow. We never book more than two sessions in a day. We don't rush wardrobe, we don't push poses that don't feel right, and we don't retouch anything into unrecognizability. What you see in your gallery is you — on your best day, lit the way Edward Hopper and Wong Kar-wai taught us to see light.

We serve the Bay Area and travel on request within 100 miles of Oakland. If you've been thinking about this for a while and haven't been able to find a studio that felt like a safe place to do it, we'd love to hear from you.

The best boudoir
happens when
nothing feels like
a transaction.
